About EximSetu
Built for India's trade community
EximSetu (“EXIM bridge”) is an AI-powered trade compliance platform. It turns HS classification, duty and compliance checks, work that takes hours across CBIC, DGFT and ICEGATE, into a reasoned report in minutes.
Our mission
Classification accuracy that protects your shipment
A wrong HS code leads to short-paid duty, interest, penalties, held goods and demurrage. Most of it is avoidable if the code, the duty and the approvals are checked before the goods ship. EximSetu makes that check fast, affordable and explained, so importers, exporters and CHAs can see why a code is right, not just what it is.

Who's behind EximSetu
Built by a logistics professional, not just a tech team
Abhishek Sadashiv · Founder, EximSetu
- CLTD, ASCM
- International Business, IIT Roorkee
- Export & Import Management, IIFT
- MBA, Symbiosis International University
Built EximSetu after 16 years in global logistics, watching shipments get held, reassessed or delayed because of a wrong HS code or a missed compliance step. Every guide here is written from that experience, for the people who actually move cargo.
- Seen shipments held, reassessed and delayed by a wrong HS code
- Worked with CHAs, forwarders, shipping lines and customs every day
- Knows which compliance steps get missed until the goods are at the port
Legally grounded
The same method a customs officer applies
Every report follows the General Rules of Interpretation in order and shows its working, so you, your CHA or an assessing officer can check each step.
- STEP 1
GRI 1
Heading text and notes first
Section and Chapter Notes are checked before any heading is chosen.
- STEP 2
GRI 2–3
Close calls settled by rule
Unfinished goods, mixtures and sets; the most specific heading; the essential character.
- STEP 3
GRI 6
Down to 8 digits
The same logic at subheading level, to the Indian ITC-HS tariff item.
- STEP 4
Duty
Rates from notifications
BCD, AIDC, SWS, IGST, cess, anti-dumping duty and FTA rates, with the notification relied on.
